About This Role
This part-time, temporary Research Technician position supports wheat quality research and fee-for-service activities, with primary responsibility for conducting routine flour and dough testing, preparing samples, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, recording test results, and assisting with data organization and general laboratory support. Worksite Description This position is On-site. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho. What You'll Need to Succeed Minimum Qualifications: -High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: -Experience working in a laboratory or research setting. Additional Role Information: Work is performed primarily in a laboratory and requires regular standing and movement between workstations, repetitive hand movements, handling flour and grain samples, and operation of laboratory instruments. The position may occasionally require lifting or carrying laboratory supplies or sample containers up to 50 pounds. Appropriate safety procedures must be followed.
