As we continue to scale, we are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and process-oriented Marketplace Assistant to support the day-to-day execution of key Marketplace initiatives. The Operations Assistant plays a critical role in supporting marketplace operations across *customer service, vendor management, and store operations*. This position is responsible for maintaining operational excellence by monitoring performance, resolving operational issues, enforcing service level agreements, and driving continuous improvement across the marketplace ecosystem. The ideal candidate is proficient at managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail. They enjoy solving operational issues and researching problems to support timely resolution. They are an effective communicator who can build trusted working relationships with internal and external partners to support day-to-day operations and provide a seamless customer experience. *Essential Functions:* *Operational Execution* * Serve as a primary operational contact for vendors and stores regarding day-to-day process questions and issue resolution. * Troubleshoot operational challenges and provide guidance on policies, procedures, and best practices. * Provide white-glove support for luxury and high-profile vendor partners to maintain seamless operations. *Case Management & Resolution* * Own the research and resolution of operational and financial disputes. * Analyze transaction histories, shipment records, and supporting documentation to determine appropriate resolutions. * Ensure financial credit and inventory ownership are accurately reconciled and processed. *Process Improvement Support* * Conduct regular outreach to vendor and store partners to provide performance feedback and highlight opportunities. * Escalate and support enforcement actions, including corrective action plans and seller suspensions, when partners fail to meet operational expectations. * Partner with Customer Service, Store Operations, and cross-functional teams to address recurring friction points and drive business outcomes. * Track recurring operational offenders and maintain reporting to support ongoing accountability efforts. * Analyze operational reports and performance data to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and customer experience. * Support special projects and operational initiatives as business priorities evolve. *Qualifications:* *Required* * Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university * 0-2 years of relevant work experience in operations, retail and/or e-commerce * Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously * Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and proactively resolve issues * Ability to quickly learn new processes and approach challenges with a structured, methodical mindset * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel *Preferred* * Experience with online marketplace or retail operations * Familiarity with luxury retail or premium brand environments *Skills & Competencies* * Operational Excellence * Problem Solving * SLA Management & Process Improvement * Customer-Centric Mindset * Relationship Management * Time Management & Prioritization * Multi-Tasking in a Fast-Paced Environment *What Success Looks Like* Success in this role will be measured by the ability to: * Resolve operational issues and reconcile financial disputes accurately and efficiently. * Increase operational compliance through consistent and proactive enforcement of SLAs and accountability measures. * Surface and act on business opportunities identified through customer and seller feedback channels, including Customer Service teams. * Build strong partnerships with stores, sellers, and customer service partners. *This job description is not all inclusive; additionally, Macy's, Inc. reserves the right to amend this job description at any time.
