At Ace Precision, Production Planners play a critical role in keeping complex aerospace and defense programs moving. You'll coordinate materials, schedules, jobs, and production priorities to help ensure the right parts are available at the right time-while balancing cost, quality, inventory, and delivery requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:



  • Coordinate production activity for assigned product and part classes to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals
  • Maintain accurate production and planning information in the ERP system
  • Review raw material requirements and coordinate deliveries with Purchasing and Production to support customer schedules while maintaining inventory goals
  • Review planning reports, release jobs, and print routings and manufacturing sketches with a high level of accuracy
  • Review routings and sketches for errors before releasing jobs to the shop floor
  • Provide job status updates during production meetings and daily communication to help keep detail, subassembly, and final assembly work on track
  • Help control cost and labor utilization by reviewing lot sizes, schedules, and production planning strategies
  • Review and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for assigned parts
  • Work with Supervisors to develop and adjust production schedules based on priorities, capacity, and delivery requirements
  • Perform routing splits, add rework operations, and complete other planning activities that support Production and Quality
  • Prepare milestone schedules and production reports to track key products and communicate progress
  • Review job routings during the closing process, resolve discrepancies in yields, and ensure quality rejects are properly documented
  • Monitor production schedules and identify opportunities to reduce setups, including combining small-lot and rework parts into larger production runs when appropriate
  • Track and reconcile dormant product to maintain accurate inventory and ERP records
  • Monitor parts at outside processing suppliers and coordinate shipments to help maintain on-time delivery
  • Support internal, customer, NADCAP, CASE, FAA, and other audits as needed



WHAT EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:



  • Associate's degree or equivalent with courses preferably in Business Management, Production Management, or related coursework; 2+ years of related production planning experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of general office systems and strong computer literacy, proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, and other departments
  • Experience working with ERP systems and manufacturing schedules preferred; experience with Epicor ERP is a plus
  • Ability to understand manufacturing routings, sketches, schedules, and production requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly when priorities change
