Education Requirements



  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, technical layouts, and work instructions.
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills required.


Experience Requirements



  • 5+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience required, preferably in Assembly, Injection Molding, or Paint operations.
  • Hands-on experience with MIG and spot welding required; TIG and Stick welding experience is a plus.
  • Experience fabricating and repairing components made from steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Strong fabrication, welding, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience building, modifying, and repairing JIGs, fixtures, storage racks, and production equipment.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Knowledge of 5S, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.


Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move tools, materials, and equipment components.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around welding, fabrication, and production equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.


Job Duties



  • Maintain, repair, and modify JIGs, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment to support production operations.
  • Perform MIG and spot welding repairs and fabrication work as needed.
  • Fabricate, rebuild, and improve fixtures, JIGs, storage racks, and support equipment.
  • Inspect and restore tooling and equipment to ensure proper function and production readiness.
  • Monitor JIG availability and coordinate repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Support production teams by troubleshooting and resolving JIG and fixture issues.
  • Follow all safety, quality, standardized work, and 5S requirements.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure tools and equipment are in proper working condition.
  • Communicate safety, quality, and operational concerns and assist with training on safe work practices.


Note: This is a fabrication and maintenance-focused role that requires welding expertise, but it is not a full-time welding position. Ideal candidates will have experience in fabrication, welding, JIG and fixture repair, automotive manufacturing, industrial maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting.
