Inside Sales Representative

We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our team and provide exceptional customer service while supporting our outside sales associates. This role works directly with customers and sales partners to manage orders, prepare quotes, provide product and pricing information, follow up on opportunities, and help grow existing and new accounts. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while providing outstanding service
• Support outside sales associates with medium to large customer accounts
• Meet or exceed established sales and profit goals
• Prepare and process quotes, orders, credit requests, and other customer needs accurately and efficiently
• Provide customers with accurate pricing, inventory, product, and delivery information
• Follow up on open quotes, expiring bids, backorders, outstanding POs, and other sales opportunities
• Source and procure special, rush, and direct-shipment items in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and generate new business through outbound sales calls
• Promote new products, services, and special offerings
• Maintain customer and distributor pricing
• Partner with purchasing, warehouse, shipping, and suppliers to coordinate orders and deliveries
• Process credits for returned or defective materials
• Assist with job quotes, stock list quotations, submittals, customer presentations, and Equipment Loan Agreements
• Help maintain customer target lists and identify potential sales opportunities
• Communicate company policies and procedures to customers, including warranty and return policies
• Communicate effectively with sales associates and internal teams to ensure customer needs are met
• Assist other areas of the location, including the warehouse, as needed

Qualifications

• Previous sales, inside sales, customer service, or related experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Good computer skills and ability to learn new systems
• Excellent organization and time-management skills
• Strong problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making abilities
• Negotiation and sales skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability and willingness to make outbound sales calls
• Ability to learn product, pricing, and supplier information
• Ability to review reports and analyze customer, product, and business information
