Description

Responsibilities:



  • Assists the Race & Sports Book Manager in daily operations.
  • Explains wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests as needed.
  • Approves over the limit wagers for the property in absence of manager and approve low-limit comps as
    permitted by jurisdictional gaming regulations.
  • Approves and refuses wagers from customers.
  • Updates and maintains all customer sheets.
  • Monitors all monies being wagered and updates the betting odds according to company policy.
  • Accurately issue and redeem betting slips for guests while providing gaming information and abiding by all gaming regulations/requirements.
  • Supervises Mutuel Clerks.
  • Maintains & continually updates knowledge of regulations set forth by the Mississippi Gaming Commission and all government agencies.
  • Knows and abide by Hard Rocks policies, procedures, internal controls and courtesy guidelines.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with state gaming regulations.
  • Handles guest disputes quickly and effectively within the level of their authority.
  • Assists with training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining, and/or scheduling employees.
  • Promotes safety awareness to minimize work related injuries.
  • Maintains knowledge of property information.
  • Upholds the Mission Statement.
  • Represents Hard Rock Biloxi in the most positive manner with guests, co-workers, managers, and vendors.
  • Lives by the Hard Rock values and mottos.
  • Ensures that daily promotions are communicated.

  • Ability to work all shifts to include weekends and holidays also work 6 day work weeks when required.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of a variety of software applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written).
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests.
  • Ability to understand and promulgate written memos, instructions, regulations.
  • Ability to effectively analyze and solve problems.
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics, including statistics.

Qualifications
Education
High School (preferred)
Experience
Two years casino experience or equivalent. (preferred)
Minimum six (6) years' experience in Race & Sports or related guest service position with high-volume, cash-handling. (preferred)
Licenses & Certifications
MS Gaming License (required)
