SUMMARY

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, closing and retaining factoring relationships for Bay View Funding. The incumbent is a key component of the business development and sales team with a primary focus to increase new business by identifying, sourcing, and closing viable prospects for factoring clients across a variety of industries, while expanding Bay View Funding's national footprint.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifies, develops, closes and retains factoring relationships.
  • Conducts a combination of outreach, personal networking and attending various social/business events in the community and surrounding area on a consistent and ongoing basis.
  • Engages established active network of COI referral sources locally and nationally and manages a pipeline of ongoing appointments.
  • Actively sources prospective clients requiring factoring services and initiates and maintains proactive communication to win relationships.
  • Leverages marketing tactics and techniques to achieve established business development goals and expectations.
  • Develops revenue growth through generation of loans and fee income.
  • Acts as a liaison between the prospective clients and the underwriting/credit departments.
  • Prepares, presents and negotiates financing proposals and documents for/with prospective clients.
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with senior team members in conjunction with leveraging resources across departments.
  • Mitigates risk and leads with a client centric focus.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of industry, economy, market conditions, rates, vendors, and competition.
  • Complies with, and stays abreast of, all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job. Job related laws and regulations include but are not limited to the following: Bank Secrecy Act (BSA); Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC); Vendor Management; Information and Data Security; and SEC regulations related to corporate governance and disclosure.
  • Provide, present, and promote the Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in business, finance, or accounting preferred from a four-year College or university; and/or ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations and interpret and draw bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

COMPUTER & SOFTWARE SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to utilize CRM, loan origination, and relationship management systems.
  • Ability to prepare financial analyses, financing proposals, and client presentations using business software applications.
  • Proficiency with virtual communication, presentation, and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to research and analyze industry, market, and economic information using online resources and reporting tools.
  • Strong database management and recordkeeping skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Experience in interpreting financial reports and legal documents.
  • Masterful at relationship building and business development with strong influential and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with knowledge of unique industries and markets in conjunction with a broad knowledge of business banking products and services.
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of external and internal clients.
  • Proven time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks and make necessary decisions within a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work in an autonomous manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of factoring, asset-based lending, and/or commercial lending, with the ability to develop business opportunities, expand market presence, and build strategic client relationships.
  • Travel required to expand Bay View Funding footprint.
