Mission



Responsibilities:



  • Efficient execution of manufacturing operations, part placement in jigs, removing subassemblies from jigs, graining/grinding, drilling, cleaning and/or passivation of finish products with appropriate tools available.
  • Able to perform different Special Processes such as Riveting, Bonding, Torquing by completing all necessary qualification and meeting all requirements according to ALSTOM standards.
  • Ability to use tools such as torque/Allen wrenches, measuring tape, drill, sander (pneumatic/battery)
  • Execute and efficiently perform self inspections, dimensional checks and tests (e.g. watertightness, shear tests) following ALSTOMs guideline and requirements.
  • Ability to efficiently utilize work instructions and design documentation supplements like 2D drawings and 3D engineering instructions to properly execute production activities
  • Ability to work in validation environment cross functionally with PME and Engineering teams to improve and execute production processes
  • Check reception of materials issued by the warehouse and properly store the materials received, to maintain the order, tidiness and efficiency of the workplace according to ALSTOM standards.
  • Ability to obtain the needed certifications (crane) and qualifications (manlifts).
  • Execute spot welding operations in accordance to the special process training and visual inspection standards
  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate specific spot welding and operational equipment according to training instructions and perform level 1 operator maintenance checks
  • Must be able to read blueprints and work instructions, set-up of jigs and fixtures.
  • Must have proficient working knowledge and ability to safely operate a variety of hand and power tools with strong mechanical aptitude


  • Must have ability to work in a safe manner compliant with all Alstom Zero Deviation Procedures and Environmental, Health and Safety regulations and guidelines


  • Perform caulking and finish sealing operations in accordance with ALSTOM standards
  • Effectively communicate with Supervision, Engineering Department and the Quality Department discussing design changes or material changes
  • Must be adaptable with ability to work across multiple spot welding cells performing different spot welding operations operating all variants of equipment- accepting different work assignments - maintain a clean working environment
  • The ability to Listen, Learn, comprehend and work in parallel to assist arc welding operations in sequence with spot welding activities to achieve all company and customer requirements.
  • Assist in new process development and troubleshooting of products and processes.
  • The ability to utilize digital technology in day-to-day work responsibilities
  • Acceptable hand/eye coordination and ability to pass visual acuity test
  • Any and all other responsibilities, in addition to those mentioned above, as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Qualifications



Education:

High School Diploma

Experience:

1 to 3 years mfg. environment experience, sheet metal or fabrication mfg. preferred.
