| Primary Purpose of Department |
The Office of OneIT provides highly reliable information technology infrastructure, tools, and services to empower the University to achieve its academic, research, administrative, and service goals. |
| Primary Purpose of Position |
This position provides leadership and strategic direction for the Data Integrations team, overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-level system integrations and APIs. The position ensures reliable, secure, and scalable data exchange between campus
ERP,
CRM, and third-party systems, while fostering a culture of code standardization and process optimization to support the University's administrative and academic goals. |
| Summary of Position Responsibilities |
- Lead and mentor a team of integration developers, overseeing professional development, performance management, and daily operational tasks.
- Design, architect, and manage the lifecycle of enterprise-level system integrations and APIs, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
- Drive the adoption of integration best practices, including API-led connectivity, code standardization, and robust documentation standards across the team.
- Partner with campus stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into sustainable, automated technical solutions that support academic and administrative goals.
- Oversee change management, version control, and automated testing strategies to ensure the reliability and security of integration environments.
- Manage the integration landscape across diverse systems, including ERPs, CRMs, and document management platforms, ensuring seamless data exchange and interoperability.
- Proactively plan for technology upgrades, capacity management, and infrastructure maintenance to support long-term enterprise scalability.

| Minimum Education/Experience |
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant work experience. |
| Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience |
- Advanced degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in integration architecture, software development, or IT management.
- Proven expertise with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform or equivalent iPaaS solutions, including API-led connectivity and API lifecycle management.
- Strong background in enterprise ERP and CRM systems (e.g., Ellucian Banner, Salesforce).
- Proficiency in database architecture (Oracle PL/SQL, SQL), API modeling languages (RAML, OpenAPI, Swagger), and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (Git, Maven, Jenkins, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines).
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, team building, and professional development of technical staff.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage cross-departmental relationships and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
