Project Manager SME LOCATION:Eglin AFB JOB STATUS:Full-Time CLEARANCE: Top Secret/SCI CERTIFICATION: N/A TRAVEL:5% Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager SME for the 782nd Test Squadron located at Eglin AFB, FL. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Top Secret Clearance. US Citizenship required.
- No formal degree or minimum years of experience required; selection is based on demonstrated mastery and impact.
- Exceptional, highly unique expertise in project management, recognized as an industry leader in relevant technical domains.
- Deep knowledge and practical application of critical path and Agile methodologies.
- Highly desired: expertise in Radio Frequency (RF), Electronic Warfare (EW), Missile Systems, Information Technology (IT), or related fields.
- Familiarity with AFI63-101/20-101, DoDI 5000.02, FAR, and DFARS regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Office Suite.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to influence and inform at all levels.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Preferred certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level I/II PM.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply industry-leading expertise to elevate project management practices and deliver innovative solutions.
- Lead requirements analysis, defining deliverables and execution strategies that set new standards for excellence.
- Direct project budgets, adapting financial strategies to dynamic schedules and evolving program needs.
- Create and deliver impactful briefings to stakeholders, translating complex technical progress into actionable insights.
- Guide the development and assessment of program/project schedules, applying advanced methodologies including critical path and Agile approaches.
- Provide expert support for requirements generation, contract reviews, and proposal evaluations.
- Lead monthly reviews of Earned Value Management Data (Integrated Program Management Report), offering strategic recommendations.
- Advise the Program Lead on funding matters, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting; support budget development, resolve financial deferrals, and conduct cost analysis.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring technical and operational objectives are achieved.
