The Renaissance Minneapolis Bloomington Hotel is seeking a creative, skilled, guest-focused PM Laundry Attendant to join its fun-spirited team!

The hotel features 253 guest rooms, on-site dining at LARS Restaurant & Bar, an indoor Junior Olympic-sized pool, fitness center, and more than 4,300 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. We offer a comprehensive full-time benefits package that includes EARLY PAY OR EARNED WAGE ACCESS (we get paid before payday) and medical, dental, and vision benefits through UNITE HERE Local 17, Minnesota's Hospitality Union! The pay rate is $17.68, with benefits including paid time off, wellness programs, excellent hotel discounts, and more. Eligible for up to two raises per year during the first four years of employment.

The Housekeeping Laundry Attendant's essential duties are cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction throughout the property. Carry out all responsibilities in accordance with safety protocols and hotel standards.

Essential Job Functions:




  • Empty the laundry chute and prepare loads for the washer.


  • Pre-sort and separate linen by classification and transfer by lifting, carrying, or transporting to work stations.
  • Run folding equipment to fold mats, blankets, towels, bedspreads, etc.
  • Separate laundry requiring mending or special stain removal.
  • Provide assistance to washer by pushing carts from washing to drying area.
  • Provide general public assistance, instruction, and/or guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergency.
  • Other duties as assigned, such as assisting room attendants or houseperson when requested.


    Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:



    • Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various industrial equipment.
    • Ability to operate commercial washing machines, polishers, and other cleaning equipment.
    • Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, and stand and walk for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100.
    • Ability to understand and follow directions, and perform job functions under limited supervision.
    • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, carry, push, or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time. May require lifting bundles (linen) weighing up to 50
    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
    • Strong commitment to guest service and teamwork in a unionized environment.


    Other Expectations:



    • Regular and reliable attendance is essential and expected.
    • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays in accordance with union seniority rules and operational needs.
    • Compliance with uniform and appearance standards.
    • Adherence to all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in line with Local 17 and OSHA requirements.
