Job Description: Work Location: Fargo Downtown Work Location Type: On-Site Hours: 8-5 M-F Pay: Base Salary + Commission The Insurance Agent manages customer acquisition and retention by providing insurance products and advice consistent with customer's needs and objectives. This will be achieved through comprehensive insurance planning, solutions, and risk management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Effectively sell insurance products by establishing relationships with customers and prospects and offering appropriate solutions to protect against insurable risks. Develop new client relationships, using a variety of insurance products and services, designed to aid clients in reaching their goals. Provide comprehensive insurance planning and risk management. Achieve and exceed established goals for sales, revenue, client retention and new relationships. Track activities, referrals, client contacts, and results as requested by management and for providing information on sales practices and initiatives. Maintain all licenses and registrations in good standing and complete all necessary continuing education requirements. Process all business in a professional and timely manner including new business and in-force policy changes.
Other Duties:
Build and maintain effective working relationships with team members, leaders, customers, and external partners. Demonstrate reliability and accountability in attendance to support operational needs and service expectations. Comply with all Gate City Insurance Agency policies, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations. Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all responsibilities. Exercise sound judgment and make timely decisions in a fastpaced environment. Utilize approved AI-enabled tools and technologies to enhance productivity, support problem-solving and decision-making, and drive efficiencies while exercising sound judgment and adhering to company policies, privacy standards, and responsible use expectations.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university is preferred; 1-3 years Insurance or other sales/customer service experience is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Skills:
Certifications: Requires current State Property and Casualty, Life, and Health Insurance Licenses within 60 days of employment. EOE/including Disability/Vets Member FDIC
