Description
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support our commitment to product quality, safety, and continuous improvement. This role will assist the Technical Manager in planning, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving quality systems and processes. The Quality Engineer will help ensure the effectiveness of the Product Quality and Safety Program, supporting compliance with internal standards and external customer requirements while driving initiatives that enhance quality performance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to nonconformances, customer complaints, product returns, rework, and corrective and preventive actions.
  • Investigate quality issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement effective corrective actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze quality and process performance data to identify trends, support problem-solving activities, and drive measurable process improvements.
  • Support customer audits, site visits, complaint investigations, and product performance reviews to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance.
  • Maintain quality and product safety documentation, records, specifications, and supplier quality requirements.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Provide quality-related training and guidance to production and operations personnel to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in internal audits, inspections, and verification activities, and support corrective action follow-up.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and technical teams to improve product quality, process capability, and operational performance.
  • Support compliance with customer, regulatory, and company quality standards and requirements.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality environment preferred; internships, co-op experience, or applicable project work will be considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
