Position Title: Welder

Wage: $25.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Welder for a company in Kenosha, WI. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift.

Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metals, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and weld symbols

- Set up and operate welding equipment according to job specifications

- Fit, align, and assemble metal components prior to welding

- Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements

- Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, squares, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances

- Grind, sand, and finish welded products as needed

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations

- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to meet production schedules and quality goals

- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report equipment issues promptly

Welder Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED

- Minimum of 2 years of MIG and/or TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

- Knowledge of welding symbols, fabrication techniques, and quality standards

- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

- Preferred technical school, vocational training, or welding certification

- Preferred experience welding stainless steel and aluminum

- Preferred AWS certification or equivalent welding credentials

- Preferred experience working in a custom fabrication or job shop environment

- Preferred forklift and overhead crane experience

- MIG and TIG welding proficiency

- Blueprint reading and interpretation

- Quality inspection and measurement

- Problem-solving and troubleshooting

- Teamwork and communication

- Time management and reliability

- Commitment to workplace safety

- Stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift

- Lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds

- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, sparks, and welding fumes while using required PPE
