Join a leading technology innovator that shapes how millions worldwide interact with digital experiences every day. This is an opportunity to contribute to a globally recognized platform, influencing foundational services that connect people with the world around them, enabling seamless utility and exciting discovery.

Are you a visionary designer ready to take ownership and drive significant impact? We are seeking a talented individual to lead outcomes for mature projects, complex programs, or emerging areas, defining scalable and sustainable solutions where precedent is limited. In this pivotal role, you won't just design; you'll shape the long-term user experience and product strategy, influencing multiple design efforts and challenging prevailing thinking to achieve common objectives. Your work will directly impact how users explore, navigate, and interact with essential digital services, making the world's information seamlessly accessible, beautiful, and actionable.

Responsibilities and Impact

  • Lead design outcomes for a mature project, complex program, or emerging area, defining scalable and sustainable approaches to solve difficult problems with limited precedent.
  • Develop and evangelize long-term user experience and product strategy for your team, guiding the momentum of multiple adjacent design efforts.
  • Provide alternative perspectives that challenge prevailing thinking against common objectives, provoking greater divergence of thought within the team.
  • Focus on foundational, high-traffic surfaces, sitting at the intersection of utility and discovery, to make local information seamlessly accessible, beautiful, and actionable.
  • Empower users to decide where to go, how to get there, and what to do when they arrive through intuitive and impactful design.
  • Deliver comprehensive design specifications, prototypes, user flows, and assets that are production-ready, adhering to and pushing the boundaries of established design systems.
  • Collaborate extensively with a diverse UX team (Design, Research, Content Strategy) and cross-functional partners (Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Data Science) to champion user-centric solutions.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to deliver production-ready designs, including comprehensive design specifications, prototypes, user flows, and assets.
  • Experience adhering to and evolving design systems to seamlessly move concepts into production.
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, with a track record of partnering effectively with broader UX teams (Design, Research, Content Strategy) and cross-functional peers (Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Data Science).
  • Demonstrated ability to champion user-centric solutions in a complex environment.
