The BSA/AML Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising, training, and developing a team of BSA/AML Investigation Specialist I employees responsible for the review, analysis, and disposition of alerts and activities associated with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR), exemption monitoring, and related regulatory requirements. This position provides leadership, technical expertise, and operational oversight to ensure alerts, referrals, and regulatory processes are completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal standards This position supervises day-to-day workflow, supports employee development, monitors quality and productivity, assists with operational reporting, and contributes to system testing, process improvements, and control enhancements within assigned BSA/AML operational areas. Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and 5+ years of experience in BSA/AML compliance, OFAC compliance, financial crimes operations, suspicious activity monitoring, or related financial services experience; or 10+ years of equivalent directly related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This position is required to obtain the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification within the first 12 months of employment and recertify every three years thereafter in accordance with ACAMS requirements. Additionally, a minimum of two hours of continuing education is required each month on industry-related topics or technical skills related to the role.
