The Leader, Grid Edge Intelligence Portfolio Marketing & Solutions Strategy is responsible for defining, packaging, positioning, and evangelizing the Grid Edge Intelligence portfolio as an integrated suite of business solutions for electric utilities. This strategic leadership role serves as the chief storyteller for the portfolio, translating complex technologies, products, and capabilities into compelling customer-centric narratives that drive market differentiation, customer value, and commercial growth.
This leader will bridge Product Management, Industry Strategy, Sales, Customer Success, and Corporate Marketing to ensure the portfolio is aligned with utility business priorities such as reliability, affordability, grid modernization, distributed energy resource (DER) integration, customer engagement, and operational efficiency. As a highly collaborative and innovative strategist, this individual will orchestrate portfolio-level go-to-market initiatives, create executive-level messaging, and enable solution-selling motions that help customers achieve measurable business outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the market-facing strategy, positioning, messaging architecture, and value proposition for the Grid Edge Intelligence portfolio, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market trends, and corporate growth objectives.
- Develop a cohesive portfolio narrative that translates products, technologies, and data-driven capabilities into customer-centric solutions addressing utility challenges and strategic priorities.
- Define and package integrated solutions that connect technology investments to utility business outcomes, including grid reliability, affordability, DER integration, decarbonization, grid modernization, customer engagement, resilience, and operational efficiency.
- Partner collaboratively with Product Management, Business Units, Corporate Marketing, Industry Strategy, Sales, and Customer Success teams to drive portfolio alignment, launch readiness, and market impact.
- Lead portfolio-level go-to-market strategies, including market segmentation, target buyer personas, campaign themes, value messaging, analyst relations, customer references, and sales enablement programs.
- Create and maintain executive narratives, solution presentations, seller playbooks, discovery frameworks, messaging libraries, and business-value-driven content that supports complex solution selling.
- Serve as an authentic and accountable portfolio evangelist, representing the company with customers, partners, analysts, industry associations, and executive stakeholders.
- Lead market intelligence and competitive analysis efforts to ensure portfolio positioning remains differentiated, relevant, and aligned with the evolving utility technology landscape.
- Identify emerging industry trends, regulatory drivers, customer priorities, and technology innovations that influence portfolio strategy and commercial opportunities.
- Work closely with strategic account teams to support executive customer engagements, business outcome discussions, and enterprise solution strategies.
- Establish and monitor key portfolio performance metrics, using data-driven insights to continuously optimize messaging, market engagement, and go-to-market effectiveness.
- Foster an agile, collaborative, and innovative culture that encourages cross-functional partnership, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Energy Systems, Communications, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Product Marketing, Solution Marketing, Product Management, Portfolio Strategy, Industry Strategy, Go-to-Market Leadership, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated success developing portfolio-level positioning, solution messaging, executive value propositions, and market narratives across multiple products, platforms, or business units.
- Strong understanding of electric utility operations and digital transformation initiatives, including Grid Modernization, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Distributed Intelligence, Distributed Energy Resources (DER), Utility Software, Analytics, or Grid Edge technologies.
- Experience supporting enterprise B2B solution sales organizations and creating customer-focused messaging that drives business-value-led conversations.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to executive, technical, and business audiences.
- Experience conducting market research, competitive intelligence, customer analysis, and industry trend assessments to support strategic decision-making.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
- Demonstrated accountability for delivering measurable business outcomes and commercial impact.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Marketing, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience within utility technology, smart grid, DER management, Grid Edge Intelligence, IoT, SaaS, data analytics, AI-driven utility solutions, or related energy technology sectors.
- Proven experience leading portfolio marketing, solutions strategy, or go-to-market functions within a utilities, energy, industrial technology, or enterprise software organization.
- Experience engaging with utility executives, industry analysts, regulators, and strategic industry organizations.
- Familiarity with utility business planning, asset management, customer programs, grid operations, and modernization initiatives.
- Experience developing frameworks and enablement programs that support consultative and solution-based selling methodologies.
- Demonstrated success driving innovative market strategies that accelerate customer adoption, revenue growth, and market leadership.
Travel
Travel of approximately 20% is expected, including domestic and international travel to support customer engagement, industry events, internal collaboration, and strategic business initiatives.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience and may vary by location. The base salary is $140,000-218,000 annually.
