Perform the role of Lead Engineer to develop advanced numerical models to evaluate complex underground works, including tunnels in soft ground and rock, large caverns, and deep excavations. Develop geotechnical interpretations to support underground engineering analysis and design, including assessing field investigation data and laboratory test results for soil and rock materials. Formulate appropriate nonlinear soil and rock constitutive relationships and parameters for use in numerical analyses of underground excavations. Develop design solutions, technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings for a wide range of underground projects, including new underground construction as well as the rehabilitation of existing underground facilities. Support senior technical leaders in developing project pursuits, including providing technical input and bidstage solutions for the preparation of technical proposals. Mentor and supervise other engineering staff to ensure bestpractice methodologies are applied and client objectives are met with highquality, technically sound solutions. Position reports into New York City, NY office; however, telecommuting from a home office is allowed. Less than 10% travel required for site investigation, inspection, and data collection. Requirements: Requires a Master's degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering plus six (6) years of tunnel engineering experience. Experience may be gained concurrently and must include: Six (6) years of experience in the following:
