The College of Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago is seeking a Director of Infrastructure and Security. The Director of Infrastructure and Security is responsible for leading and managing the institution's IT infrastructure and security operations for the College of Medicine. The Director will support the Associate Dean of Infrastructure and Security to ensure the reliability and security of IT systems, and support the College's mission of excellence in education, research, and patient care. Key responsibilities include managing daily operations and collaborating with UIC Technology Solutions and UI System IT infrastructure and cybersecurity teams. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to Cyber Security Planning, Data Platforms (Cloud and On-Premise) and Data Centers, Networking and Unified Communication, Technical Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Data Protection, and Infrastructure Applications. The Director collaborates with stakeholders to coordinate infrastructure and security activities and ensures modern infrastructure capabilities align with organizational goals and quality standards while fostering a service-oriented culture that delivers value. Expertise in infrastructure, security, and operations is crucial for leading growth in these areas across the college of medicine.
