Seeking LPN or Medical Assistant

LPN Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
Experience: Can be new or experienced LPN.
Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
NOTE: One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:
*ACLS/ALS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
*PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
*PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
*S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support)
*Six Assessment & Care Modules
*Other unit-specific certifications as required.
Physical Requirements/Demands: Stand/Walk most of the time on duty; significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Certifications: IV Certification within 1 year of hire.
Physical Requirements:

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

MA Qualifications:

Education:

*High school diploma or equivalent.

*New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.

Additional minimum requirement(s) only for Hospital Outpatient Departments:

Certification(s): BLS (Basic Life Support)

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Experience: One year of experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.

Additional preferred requirement(s) for non-HOD Clinics:

Certification(s): BLS (Basic Life Support)

*Proficiency with EHR systems and clinical documentation.

*Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.

*Knowledge of common outpatient procedures and equipment.

*Demonstrates knowledge of varying differences and behaviors among populations served.

Work Environment:

*Outpatient clinical setting with frequent patient interaction.

*Requires standing, walking, lifting, and use of clinical equipment.

*Potential exposure to infectious materials; PPE provided.
