A Taste of What You'll Do

Join GALLO as a General Janitor and help create a clean, safe, and efficient manufacturing environment. In this essential role, you will support production by maintaining plant floors, machinery, work cells, walkways, and shared spaces free of debris, residue, and safety hazards. Your attention to detail helps protect people, uphold quality standards, and keep operations running smoothly.

You will sweep, scrub, mop, pressure-wash, and sanitize industrial and support areas, including restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, offices, stairwells, and production spaces. You will safely clean and degrease equipment, empty trash and handle approved waste streams, respond to minor spills within your training, maintain supplies, and perform basic inspections and care for assigned cleaning equipment.

Safety is central to this work. You will follow Good Food Manufacturing Practices, OSHA requirements, site procedures, and energy-control and machine-guarding practices. The role includes using required personal protective equipment and, following required training and qualifications, operating equipment such as industrial sweepers, scrubbers, pressure washers, forklifts, aerial lifts, and elevated work platforms.

We welcome dependable, safety-minded individuals who take pride in organized work areas, communicate concerns promptly, and contribute to a respectful team environment. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, including people with diverse backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and perspectives.

  • Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to chemical, mechanical, electrical, heat, noise, fall, ergonomic, and environmental hazards, including understanding when conditions require escalation to supervision, EHS, or emergency-response personnel.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain required safety and emergency response qualifications, including CPR/AED, First Aid, and annual Bloodborne Pathogens training.
  • Required to successfully complete employer-provided training and demonstrate competency before independently operating forklifts, aerial boom lifts, scissor lifts, ladders, elevated work platforms, industrial sweepers, scrubbers, vacuums, pressure washers, or other equipment required by the position, and to maintain all required in-house equipment certifications.
