Your Job

Georgia-Pacific's Consumer Product's Division is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer who can turn data into information that helps people make better decisions for our Muskogee Paper Mill in Oklahoma. This is an opportunity to help build a stronger business intelligence capability from the ground up. You will start close to the business, learning mill operations, understanding reporting needs, organizing data and creating focused reporting solutions that deliver meaningful insights. As the foundation develops, you will have the opportunity to improve how data is structured and used, create more sustainable analytics solutions, and help leaders move from collecting information to understanding the story behind it.

This is an on-site position that is not eligible for a hybrid or remote work model.

Our Team

For over 50 years, the Muskogee Paper Mill has been a major part of the economic lifeblood of the region. With more than 700 employees, across more than 600 acres, Muskogee strives to lead the tissue, towel, and napkin business. Our team recently invested more than $50 million to grow our brands and continue to serve our loyal consumers with the great quality they have come to expect.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with mill leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to understand operational and business needs, define key measures, and translate those needs into meaningful reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Learn mill operations, business processes, and existing data sources to ensure reporting provides useful context and supports better business decisions.
  • Gather, organize, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources, including existing Excel-based information, to improve data consistency, reliability, and accessibility.
  • Design, build, and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions that provide stakeholders with timely, actionable information.
  • Evaluate existing reporting processes to identify duplication, manual effort, data-quality gaps, and opportunities to simplify or automate how information is collected, prepared, and reported.
  • Establish repeatable methods for organizing data, defining reporting logic, and maintaining reporting solutions to create a more sustainable BI foundation.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities, then translate findings into clear business insights. This aligns with internal guidance distinguishing reporting from analytics, where analytics adds insight to the underlying data.
  • Create clear visualizations and data-driven storytelling that help mill leaders understand performance, investigate results, and make informed decisions.
  • Independently identify and prioritize opportunities to advance the mill's BI capability, balancing immediate reporting needs with longer-term improvements in how data is structured and used.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience developing business intelligence, analytics, reporting or data solutions in a business or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with data from multiple sources and translating business needs into useful reporting or analytical solutions.
  • Experience communicating analytical findings and data-driven insights to stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise.
  • Experience identifying problems, developing solutions and advancing work with a high degree of ownership.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Science, or similar field.
  • Experience improving or establishing reporting and analytics capabilities where data sources or processes are not yet fully standardized.
  • Experience designing scalable or repeatable data and reporting solutions.
  • Experience helping stakeholders move from descriptive reporting toward deeper analytical insights.
