The Raquel Zarin Internship Program:

Our internship program honors Raquel Zarin, a beloved employee, mentor, and friend at the Ad Council. Raquel passed away in 2021, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, integrity, and excellence that continues to inspire us. She believed in nurturing young talent, fostering welcoming environments, and championing access to lifesaving resources. At the Ad Council, these are principles and values we hold and hope that our interns will embrace and carry forward throughout their careers.

The Raquel Zarin Internship Program is a remote-first engagement and will run from June 1, 2026 - August 14, 2026. All interns will be paid $19/hour and are eligible to earn overtime. Ability to work East Coast hours is required.

Job Summary:

This internship will be a part of the Marketing and Communications department that is responsible for developing PR, social media and influencer strategies to extend the reach and impact of our national campaigns.

The role will work directly with Creators for Good, our internal influencer marketing team, and the Public Relations and Social Media (PRSM) team to support paid, earned and owned media strategy, integrated communications and trusted messenger amplification as part of holistic Ad Council social impact campaigns.

The role also includes support of the PR team responsible for strategies that extend the reach and impact of our various national social impact campaigns through tactics such as messaging, media outreach and social media strategy, to uplift and amplify campaign messaging across a variety of media platforms

Both the Creators for Good and PR teams leverage the Ad Council's established relationships in the entertainment, media, marketing, advertising and technology industries to identify and activate trusted voices for the nation's most pressing issues to amplify the Ad Council's efforts.

What you'll do:



  • Assist the Creators for Good team with day-to-day activities such as background research for influencer campaigns and vetting of prospective trusted messengers.
  • Work with our influencer, PR/Social Media, and Media Relations teams to conduct background research on reporters and creators and vendors, potentially draft pitches, social copy, talking points, talent briefs, pull social analytics, brand safety vetting etc.
  • Contribute to integrated communications strategy brainstorms, including PR, social media and influencer marketing ideas.
  • Participate in ongoing project status calls with integrated teams to help advance campaign efforts
  • Develop recommendations and activation ideas for partners and/or creators who could become trusted messengers for social good campaigns.
  • Work with vendors on talent engagement, helping manage project timelines and communicating and implementing creative feedback.
  • Monitor creator content performance and prepare coverage reports and summaries/analyses of social media activities.
  • Collaborate with Ad Council interns to identify the next pressing social issue to become an Ad Council campaign. The intern team will work through the end of the summer program to research, develop and present a campaign proposal to the Ad Council staff.
  • Support on logistics for execution of various influencer, PR/social media and media relations tactics.

  • Excellent writer - can adjust copy to various mediums/audiences (including talking points, social posts, pitches, etc.)
  • Extraordinary verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Interest or curiosity in talent partnerships and influencer marketing
  • Passionate about culture, artists, social good, and philanthropy
