The Safety Valve Assembler's primary role is repairing safety relief valves to National Board VR Code, and to test safety valves with air, water, & steam.

Partner with the best

As a Safety Valve Assembler, you will assemble complex components per assembly drawings / bill of material. Performs functional testing on assemblies. Tests assemblies per customer and/or division criteria. Operates test equipment in compliance with engineering standards. Applies settings, calibrates and maintains assembly tools. Performs torquing of various components. Distributes quality notifications (qn's).

As a Safety Valve Assembler, you will be responsible for:

  • Repairing safety relief valves to National Board VR Code
  • Testing safety valves with air, water, & steam
  • Reading and interpret manufacturers drawings and spring charts
  • Understanding of Steam boiler operating and testing
  • Applying measurement & math skills to verify critical dimensions
  • Performing machine and hand lapping of nozzles and discs
  • Performing valve write-up
  • Understanding the Pressure and leak test valves to National Board, API, and ASME standards

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Have a High School Diploma or higher
  • 1+ Years experience with the Assembly of Safety Valves is preferred
  • Experience working with Dial Calipers
  • Experience working with Micrometers
  • Experience working with Consolidated products a plus
