Summary:

Machine Operator - Iowa Park, TX location



  • Rotating shifts 630pm - 630am / 7:00pm - 7:00 am
  • Pay starts at $18.75 per hour and increases to $20.25 once trained and qualified (typically within 9 months of start date). Additional pay increases acquired as additional skills are obtained and yearly, based on performance. Night shift premium of $1.75 per hour, when applicable.

Job Description:

  • Manufactures sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production costs in order to meet marketplace demand
  • Sets up equipment operation feed, speed and temperature
  • Follows established procedures for operating various conventional and/or CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, turning, milling, and stamping to fabricate, form or shape manufactured parts, tools or parts assemblies from raw materials
  • Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing
  • Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations
  • Responsibilities are within Manufacturing/Operations Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines

Qualifications:

  • Must posses an education or experience level that permits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments and responsibilities of the job.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be well organized, and be a team player.
  • Computer knowledge (SAP, Excel, Word, data entry, checking email)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attntion to detail
  • Ability to pass training requirements to become qualified on one or more machine production lines
  • Must have good verbal and non verbal communication skills
  • Must have good judgment with decision making regarding Safety and Quality.
  • Follow all applicable EHS, Quality and Food Safety procedures and protocols, and reports any incident to his/her supervisor.
  • Complete all EHS, Quality and Food Safety applicable training.
  • Support implementation of the Quality and Food Safety program and comply with the expectations if this role is included as part of the Food Safety or Internal Audit team.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure

Education:

High school or GED equivalency is required
