Additional Job Description:

WVUHS Medical Group seeks a Medical Director, Obstetrics & Gynecology. The successful candidate will join an established practice in the primary location of Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, WV. In the future, this position may also have the opportunity to provide leadership to the Obstetrics & Gynecology programs at other WVU Medicine hospitals in the region.

Thomas Memorial Hospital averages approximately 800 annual deliveries. The Obstetrics and Gynecology program is staffed by both employed and private practice physicians. A Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is staffed by dedicated Neonatologists to support high risk deliveries and the recruitment of maternal fetal medicine physicians is a priority of the institution.

Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of general obstetrics/gynecology, lead our OB/Gyn program, and collaborate with a team of skilled healthcare professionals to improve the OB/Gyn Care for our surrounding communities.

Qualifications: Applicants must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a West Virginia state medical license. The successful Candidate must be board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with at least 5 years of experience All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment.

Location: West Virginia's capital city is perfectly positioned at the confluence of the Kanawha and Elk rivers.
