JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Campus Recreation is seeking Penn State students to work as Building Supervisors within Facilities and Operations unit. A Student Building Supervisor assists with the supervision, training and evaluation of Facility Attendants. Under direction of the Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations and Coordinator for Facilities and Operations. Student Building Supervisors are considered an extension of facility management. In addition to performing the tasks of a Facility Attendant, the Student Building Supervisor helps ensure policies and procedures for Campus Recreation buildings are enforced in a fair and consistent manner particularly on nights and weekends. Student Building Supervisors must attend staff meetings, and maintain professionalism at all times, either while assisting members, working with staff across program areas or attending to other work tasks.
Positions are available year-round. Applications will be kept on file through July 31, 2022 and will be reviewed as positions become available. Campus Recreation is a department within Student Affairs that provides fitness, wellness, and recreational programs to the campus community through the operation and administration of the new expanded and renovated 200,000 sf Intramural Building, the McCoy Natatorium, the 700-acre Stone Valley Outdoor Recreation Area, a Tennis Center including six clay courts and four indoor courts, the White Building, Outdoor Adventures, Aquatics, Club Sports, Fitness and Wellness Programs, and Intramural Sports.
