Overview

The Credit Portfolio/ETF/Algorithmic Trading desk is part of Credit Flow Trading, sitting within the Global Financing & Credit Trading (GF&CT) business unit. The trading desk acts as a market maker in Investment Grade and High Yield Corporate Bonds as well as Portfolios and ETFs. This includes those bonds to provide liquidity to our clients.

What You'll Do

  • Trade US Credit ETFs and Portfolios of Investment Grade and High Yield Corporate Bonds as a member of a multi-functional trading team

  • Contribute to the management of Algorithmic trading of Investment Grade and High Yield Corporate Bonds by the team

  • Interact directly with external managers of Credit ETFs to create and redeem shares of US Credit ETFs

  • Model and use statistical analysis to identify profitable trading opportunities for the desk & our clients

  • Work closely with other Deutsche Bank traders to optimize and manage risk positioning in trading books across US Credit Flow Trading

  • Leverage the ICG Credit Sales to support an active feedback loop with our clients

How You'll Lead

  • Responsibility for training junior staff on the desk

  • Building the Deutsche Bank Credit franchise with clients & capturing market share

  • Contribute to the continued development of systems and processes which support the US Credit Portfolio/ETF/Algorithmic Trading activity

Skills You'll Need

  • Previous experience as a credit quant either on the buy/sell side

  • Existing relationships with market participants in this space

  • Previous experience with modelling, credit analysis and statistical modelling, ideally resulting in trading ideas

  • History of strong risk management and identifying profitable trading opportunities

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

  • Self-motivated

  • Self-starter

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York City office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $190K to $300K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
