We are seeking an Engineer, Mid Level

This job is located on-site in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Duties:

Provide technical support in the principles, techniques and practices of mechanical engineering, electrical/electronics engineering and/or naval architecture as they relate to aircraft carrier hull, mechanical and electrical (HM&E), aviation and electronic shipboard systems. These tasks require extensive knowledge in the area of, but not limited to aircraft carrier maintenance philosophy, ship installation drawings, RCM principles and the ability to organize data in a cohesive manner to submit finding for evaluation and action. Provide technical support for the development and management of the non-nuclear CMP, BAWPs and modernization for execution during CVN availabilities. Requires ensuring technical requirements, periodicities and associated configuration are current within each assigned CMP maintenance requirement to include integration of PMS Force Revisions. Examine opportunities to refine the CMP; Retrieve, organize and analyze (e.g., maintenance, risk, material condition) data of specified systems or components based on specific criteria and submit finding for evaluation and action; Assist in development of life-cycle strategies for aircraft carrier distributive systems and select components;

Qualifications/Education:

3 to 5 years professional experience in engineering. Bachelor degree (BS/BA) in Mechanical Engineering. Data analytics & maintenance and modernization of Navy ships within a shipyard environment.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook. Significant organizational skills with an ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
