Title:Teaching Assistant Professor of Physics Division: Provost's Office Department: Pott College of Science, Engineering, & Education FLSA Status: Exempt EEO Job Group:2 C5 Position Summary The Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education at the University of Southern Indiana invites applications for a nine-month non-tenure track Teaching Assistant Professor of Physics position. The position starts August 2025. Duties/Responsibilities The successful candidate will teach general physics lecture and laboratory courses for science and engineering, as well as organize and maintain laboratory equipment. In addition, the successful candidate may be asked to teach astronomy or physics courses for non-majors, or a physical science course for teaching majors. Required Knowledge and Skills Doctorate in Physics, Astrophysics, or closely related field is required. Doctoral candidates will be considered at the rank of Instructor if the terminal degree will be completed by the end of their first year of employment. If employment starts in August 2025, terminal degree must be completed by the end of July 2026.
