Overview

As a member of the Market Intelligence team, the Sr. Market Intelligence Strategist will meet the growing need for in-depth market and competitive intelligence for Esri. You will develop analytic products and strategies to support strategic decision making and marketing campaigns. This role will work closely with various marketing departments and across the organization to understand research needs and implement data-driven solutions to help our organization make informed business decisions.

Responsibilities



  • Drive Results. Deliver innovative and timely market intelligence, competitive assessments, and target audience strategies. Lead and structure analytic projects to support effectiveness of marketing and other cross divisional needs in support of senior leadership.
  • Be an Expert. Provide end-to-end guidance to drive analytics, including developing relationships with divisional leads, gathering requirements, conducting research, and structuring deliverables. Produce in-depth industry sector reports analyzing emerging trends, key drivers and issues, regulatory challenges, and opportunities.
  • Create an Impact. Engage with leaders to suggest strategies for proactively incorporating internal and external research and analysis into market development and business development efforts. Leverage critical and strategic thinking to perform a wide range of analytic projects including Market Sizing, Market Segmentation and Tiering, Market Trends Assessments, Sales Performance Analytics, Sales Targeting, and other Ad-Hoc analytics.
  • Communicate and Collaborate. Develop and maintain a network of information sources, including internal teams, distributors, partners, customers, industry experts, and external analysts. Monitor and communicate industry and market developments that have an impact on Esri's business. Present research findings and translate research into actionable insights and recommendations for market growth.
  • Lead by example. Apply innovative data analytic tools and techniques, statistical tools, forecasting and modeling, as well as an in-depth knowledge of research and data sources. Share best practices with recommendations with colleagues.


Requirements



  • 8+ years of experience conducting complex market, competitive, and strategy development
  • Bachelor's in business, economics, or quantitative disciplines
  • Experience in management consulting, market & competitive intelligence, or strategic planning function at a large enterprise organization
  • Strong analytic, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional level deck building
  • Ability to work in high pressure situations with tight deadlines

Recommended Qualifications



  • MBA or other advanced degree related to business and analytics
  • Certification or training in market and competitive intelligence, such as SCIP

$100,672 $182,104 USD
