This role is on-site every day with some flexibility to work from home and very work/life balance. Responsibilities: * Maintain current, accurate accounting records * Manage all aspects of the accounting functions including cash, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, and including commissions. * Maintain banking relationships * Manage commercial insurance needs * Continually automate and improve processes * Prepare and administer budgets and forecasts * Manage all audits * Provide management reporting and analysis * Lead cost management efforts * Participate as a member of the Executive Management Team * Perform month-end close * Coordinate contracts, leases and taxes Qualifications: BS degree in accounting or finance Minimum 5+ years of experience in a controller capacity for a small to mid-size company government contracting industry a plus CPA a plus Vaco Financial specializes in the permanent placement of accounting and finance professionals of all levels and industries.
