Position Highlights |
The Department of Chemical & Environmental Engineering at The University of Arizona (UA) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position with an anticipated start date in August 2025.
We seek an interdisciplinary scholar with a Ph.D. degree in engineering or related disciplines with experience and interest in semiconductor and related nano-fabrication processes. A successful candidate will complement the departmental and campus-wide strengths for technology innovations to resolve current challenges and introduce novel materials and processes that improve product performance and lead to gain in resource utilization and sustainability in semiconductor and nano manufacturing. The faculty member will be expected to form and maintain research and educational partnerships with cross-campus academic units in material science and engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry, and other fields as appropriate. In addition, the faculty member will teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels and contribute to mentoring students, including those from underrepresented backgrounds. Duties & Responsibilities |
- Responsibilities
include departmental, college, and university service, such as outreach and recruitment, and adding scholarly contributions to the profession. In these and other ways, the faculty member is expected to develop innovative approaches to enhancing student engagement, increasing diversity, and expanding collaborations with community and other external partners.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Ph.D. degree at
the time of hire in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a closely related discipline and must provide education credentials during the offer discussions. - No experience
beyond the Ph.D. is required Appointment at the Assistant Rank.
